4-hour Ramon crater Jeep tour combined with basic stargazing experience* and a bonfire, starting at 1500 shekels.
The most beautiful time of the day in Ramon Crater in the hot summertime is during the afternoon and sunset time.
The meeting time in the summertime will be from 17:00-17:30 in Mitzpe Ramon, we can meet you anywhere around the town or pick you up from your hotel.
This special activity is planned for the summer, but we can offer it all year round,
We can carry out this activity, on beautiful and pleasant days in autumn, winter, and spring, we will have to keep up to date with the weather conditions, cloudiness, and astronomical seeing conditions, so that your enjoyment is complete, an accurate weather forecast will be received just a few days before, so that every planning will be perfect afterward.
In Israel during winter time, on the winter solstice, the sunset time in December is around 4:30 PM.
During summer time, on the spring solstice the sunset time is around 20:00.
So the tour plan should be adjusted according to the sunset time.
On our tour, we will cross the Ramon crater through beautiful 4x4 desert trails, visit the most interesting places in the crater and watch a spectacular sunset.
Between twilight time and nightfall, we will drive to a nice spot in the desert, light up a campfire and sit by the fire, brew a teapot on the fire and enjoy the cool breeze of the summer desert nights.
As the evening goes by and darkness falls, we will try to bring the sky’s celestial objects closer to you by means of easygoing guidance on the stars, the planets, the Moon, the constellations, and the Zodiac signs.
*on our basic option, the stargazing guidance will be carried out without telescopes. (naked-eye stargazing experience)
Booking and Upgrade information:
Tours are performed during the summer months: May, June, July, and August, from Monday to Thursday.
In order to enjoy the desert sky, we have to schedule the tour to 17:00-21:00 or 17:30-21:30
Upgrade options:
*Light desert campfire meal.
We will dine next to the campfire, prepare Pita bread, baked on the bonfire, roasted hot dogs, roasted potatoes baked on the fire, sliced vegetable salad, lettuce salad, Tahini, and Humus, coffee, tea, and marshmallows.
The cost of a light desert meal: 120 shekels per person

* On our basic itinerary is a stargazing experience without telescopes.

The cost of the Astronomy workshop:1400 shekels.
Since the unpolluted dark desert sky is the best astronomy experience, the Ramon crater was declared recently as a dark sky preserve by the International Dark-Sky Association.
